LCO

The side of the LCO.

Location: The Lower City

Once run-down and disgusting it has been rebuilt into a nearly well-to-do building with stone walls and a small amount of wood near the top in a thin sort of balcony. The first floor contains nine bedrooms, a kitchen, and a dining room as well as a good amount of space between the bedrooms and the living-type rooms for the youngest children to play while still being watched by the careful eyes of their elders. The second floor holds the girls' rooms, 11 of them to be exact as there is no need for a kitchen or dining room on this floor.

If a girl happens to have a younger sibling that is male they can stay with them up until the age of ten, at which point they move down to stay with the other boys. They're all rather crowded, the smaller ones sharing beds when necessary. The older children are gracious about it, taking floor space when new little kids show up in need of space.

The third floor has only two bedrooms and a great amount of storage space. These two bedrooms happen to belong to the Orphanage's top two residents, Arien Carson and her best friend Rayan ibn Wasib. The crowding of the lower floors is causing Ari to fear that her one place of solitude will have to be invaded so that they can fit their ever-growing population of disadvantaged children. The plan would be to shift Rayhan's bed into her room and put up some more beds in Rayhan's room for some of the older and quieter kids to use.

History

Built around 540 HE this building fell into disrepair very quickly. What surprises people is how long it lasted after becoming the wreck it was known to be. Then, a couple of years back, it was rebuilt by the Rogue as a home for the Youth who chose to serve him and the other starving children of the Lower City, putting them under the care of Arien Carson.
